From planning their travel to being there for “I do” - Cabo, here we come! ✈️🌴💍

After spending so much time working with Julia and Guy on their destination wedding travel, it’s almost time to see all those plans become real! It has been such a pleasure getting to know and serve this family, and I’m so excited to join them in Cabo as they celebrate this next chapter together. ❤️

This is one of my favorite parts of what we do. Behind every reservation is someone looking forward to a huge moment in their life, and being trusted to help take care of their favorite people means a lot.

Stacey and I love helping our wedding couples and groups through the planning, the questions, and all those little travel details. And when on-property support is part of the plan, we can be there, too, including helping guests, working alongside the resort team, and giving our clients a familiar face to turn to so they can focus on enjoying their celebration.

✈️ ICYMI: A DOT flight disruption rule has been pushed to February 1, 2027 ✈️

The U.S. Department of Transportation has delayed a rule change that was expected to take effect this past Monday, October 19. Airlines for America asked for more time to update data systems, and the new start date is now February 1, 2027.

Here's why it matters to you: once it takes effect, ten types of disruptions will be classed as outside an airline's control. These include unscheduled maintenance, a medical emergency, a cybersecurity attack, a government system shutdown, removing an unruly passenger, extreme-weather aircraft damage, and airport closures for weather.

When a delay or cancellation falls in those categories, airlines aren't held accountable for it. That can leave stranded travelers without meals, hotel vouchers or other compensation.

What we recommend for every trip, especially the big ones:
✔️ Protect your investment with the right travel insurance
✔️ Build in a buffer day before a cruise or tour departs

Some trips mean a little extra. This was one of them. ❤️

When I was a student at Roosevelt High School, Steve Schaefer was our school resource officer. He was always great to us kids, took the time to get to know us, and built relationships that we still remember all these years later.

Fast-forward to today, and I had the opportunity to help Steve and Juanita plan an incredible fall adventure from Montreal to New York City, with a Holland America cruise and so many beautiful stops in between. Getting to take care of someone who made such a positive difference during my high school years was pretty special.

After returning home, Steve shared this recommendation:
