When is the best time to travel to Alaska?

In our experience, Alaska is incredible all year. But our favorite time to travel is late August — specifically the second half of the month — and here’s why:

🐻 Peak bear viewing
🌤️ Comfortable weather
🚢 Fewer crowds in port
❄️ Glacier/dogsled flight tours are still running
🐋 Humpback whales can be spotted bubble-net feeding

It’s that sweet spot where Alaska is as vibrant and majestic as ever…just a little quieter. ✨
