It is hard to believe that we only have a month left of our season! Each year, the summers fly by and emotions run wild (mainly due to the long work days). But this picture captures all of the best parts of the summer for me!

🌲 Adventure Awaits: The Ultimate Dyea Day Trip! 🚲💨

​Looking for the perfect way to spend a day in Skagway? Grab your favorite person, hop on an e-bike, and follow this local-approved itinerary for a date day you won’t forget.

​📍 Phase 1: Fuel Up & Gear Up

​The adventure starts right in town! First, swing by Chilkooterie to pack a premium picnic. Think artisanal snacks and fresh flavors that travel well. Next, hit up Stuff and Things for any last-minute essentials—sunscreen, extra layers, or that one piece of gear you forgot.

​Once your bags are packed, head over to Klondike Electric Bicycles to pick up your ride. With that electric boost, the hills are a breeze!

​📍 Phase 2: The Ride to Dyea

​Enjoy the stunning views along the Taiya Inlet. With the wind in your hair and the quiet hum of the e-bikes, you’ll have plenty of time to soak in the scenery. Keep an eye out for eagles and seals along the way!

​📍 Phase 3: Explore & Picnic

​Once you reach Dyea, the day is yours:

​Walk the Chilkoot Trail: Step back in time at the start of the historic "Golden Staircase."

​The Ghost Town: Wander through the remains of the 1898 townsite.

​Picnic with a View: Find a quiet spot by the river or the flats to enjoy that lunch you packed.

We are getting back into the swing of things...Zaq dusted off the winter cobwebs and took this group of family and friends out on tour! It was chilly, but fun was had by all!!!

One of the most common questions we get during the season at Klondike Bikes is:

❄️ “So… what do you do all winter?”

The short answer? We don’t sit still for long 😄

Winter in Skagway is our time to dream, tinker, fix things, and sometimes… start something completely new. This year, that “something” turned into Skagway Stuff & Things — a little shop full of everyday essentials, unexpected finds, and good deals (most of them below retail).

It’s been a fun reminder that even in the quiet months, there’s room for new ideas, new projects, and new ways to serve this community we love so much.

So if you’re wondering what we do when the bikes are parked and the cruise ships are gone… sometimes we open another business 😉

We are having a soft opening tomorrow from 11-4! I am so grateful for all of the amazing people who helped make this dream a reality!
