Today we celebrate the life of David Caudle. He was the keyholder to our cave for many years and he was the person who let me in for the first time. David is a well loved member of the community both above and below ground. He was a neighbor, a friend, and a source of intelligent conversation. I was always fascinated to hear stories of his past as well as his plans for the future. He was always up to something! Please keep his beloved family and friends in your thoughts on this special day ❤️

Check out this slimy salamander and her eggs my friend saw while camping in the cave with his family! This time of year the females are tending to their sack of eggs. Unlike many salamander, the slimy go through their larval stage before being born. They are born little adults!
