Here is a clip from Thursday. A couple of us enjoyed the perfect weather and exploring some of the incredible alpine climbing opportunities over in the Sangre de Cristo mountains near Crestone.

While Colorado’s low snowpack means our rafting season may be shorter this year, we’re committed to making every trip fun, scenic, and memorable --- with the photos to prove it!

Mountain Man Rafting is letting us know the Rio Grande is UP, and trips are officially running!

These rafting adventures are epic and a must-do when you visit the area. It’s one of the best ways to experience the river while making memories with family and friends.

We’re still holding out hope for a strong monsoon season, but now is the time to book - limited hours are currently available, so contact them soon.

They’ll be running full speed by Memorial Day Weekend.

We're kicking off 2026 with a Wilderness Medicine Training Center Wilderness First Aid course host at the Rio Grande Farm Park in Alamosa. This is a 3 day course and includes adult/child CPR/AED certification as well as epinephrine injection certification. Course is January 30 to February 1.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE...Eastern San Juan Mountains Above 10000 Feet and Upper Rio Grande Valley/Eastern San Juan Mountains Below 10000 Feet.

* WHEN...Through late tonight/Early Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Tropical moisture will continue to spread into the eastern San Juan mountains in deep southwest upslope flow resulting in repeated rounds of moderate to heavy rain.
