For those interested, we've shared an update regarding the updates our camper has made. The link will be in the bio.

It's definitely been an adventure with , , , , , and more. But, it's good to be able to get out exploring and feel good about staying warm, dry, and ready for more adventures. It's also a bit tough to consider possibly letting it go. But, we do feel a but gluttonous having two campers. Each one definitely has their own pros and cons. Time is winding down for winter 24/25. Since my season ended before 2025 even started, I've been looking for alternative adventures. I think I've had enough neighborhood hikes, then rehabilitation just put a kabash on some of my more recent goals, but I did get cleared for another step along the way. So, instead of turning right at Pickett's to go towards Kirkwood, it was time to turn left to another favorite spot. Thank you for a little hydrotherapy. Happy to be back in the water to soak these old bones. Of course, I did take the scenic drive both ways, just for a little road trip adventure.

Ah, there's nothing quite like witnessing the history around Lake Tahoe. Seeing these old cabins and knowing the families that have a long past connected with the community is special. Well, quite a few of the pasts are really only from the recent 2020 pandemic. But, it's still great to see these old cabins, instead of all the crazy, new, overpriced, builds. Big fan of the irony of the Breathe Inn next to the propane tank, too.

No point in sitting idle while on the DL. Time to make the YouTube channel official, log the massive amounts of footage, set aside edit time, and make this more professional/informative/fun yet also stay true to the original goal.

As they say, "you play, you pay". Well, this wasn't as dramatic or exciting as I could possibly imagine. However, it did make another person's day just a little bit better. Now, I'm in for quite a long recovery. Lots of what brings me happiness, excitement, and joy is all just a morivating goal well off into the future. But, it probably could have been worse. So, I'll try to keep looking at the bright side. Here's what a distal bicep tendon tear looks like over the course of one month. So, don't expect any skiing, snowboarding, snowskating, paddleboarding, skateboarding, motorcycle riding, mountain biking, or really even any exciting hiking vistas for quite some time. Plus, I'd even say just getting in and out of the poptop camper is a no-go for now. Time to catch up on any TV shows, books, or finish some tasks on the computer.

There's something magical about sliding on giant popsicle sticks down a frozen mountain of snow. If you don't know what it feels like, then get out there and do it to feel that magical sensation ASAP. You'll never know what it's really like until you've tried it. You might even find out a little more about yourself in the process.

Who else is ready to see these vistas painted white with a fresh coat of snow? The early snow has been nice, but pretty firm at times. Our touring options have been a bit limited. And, hiking isn't as fun as gliding across freshly fallen snow. So, let's get that storm door open and let Old Man Winter come cruising in.

Chasing in the middle of a makes you appreciate a little extra indoor living space. isn't quite the same as . But, the added conveniences of a fully self contained rig with abundant storage really does help ride the storms out. Plus, the diesel powerplant kept us into better double digit MPGs, even when using the onboard generator. Our RAM camper rarely sees double digits. Although, it's a bit easier to maneuver in tight quarters, parking lots, and off road situations.

There's a bit of snow on the ground. The higher elevation lakes are starting to ice over. But, so far most of the Winter weather is is dodging Tahoe. This isn't exactly new. But, some people have a tough time waiting for . So, who is already making plans to chase storms across the Rockies, Cascades, or even the Alps?

Getting away for some quick , then coming back home to a comet streaking overhead is nothing short of magical. We caught some down south, dinner before they close for the season later this month, and we even made a pit stop at Mono Lake to observe the glassy reflections and chat with some German adventurers. Learning the differences between and isn't so hard for adapting. It all comes down to accessibility, vehicle capability, managing electronics demands, and the basics of comfort. Ironically, the MPGs are actually better with the big rig, as opposed to the RAM. Although, either choice is definitely an investment at the pump. Either way, the ROI is definitely worth it. Which setup would you choose for exploring and why?

Love to see and hear the call of the wild in our backyard. Of course, we do know about the sordid history of apex predators, domesticated livestock, as well as wild game, all across the west. Let's hope that we've learned from the past and can feasibly co-habitate without risking extinction.

Not a lot of action shots today. Just one great emotional shot behind the bars. 🤓 It was a great ride with a long-time homie. Loved seeing his shiny new GS Rallye. And, it was great to take advantage of the warmer days of fall in the Sierra.

Colors are popping all up and down the Sierra Nevada. It's still a little early for . But, it's only a matter of time before the fall foliage transitions to get ready for winter.

A little rain wasn't going to dampen the day today. Got out to see how the dirt was holding up on the Ol' Black Beauty. The Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires did stellar on the rocks, through the slop, and even on the wet tarmac heading safely back home.
