Just realized we're WAY behind in posting pics of our other Vacation Rental property.
Interesting story: This was an early 90's home located about 16 miles from here. We looked into moving it but it became ridiculously expensive and complicated, so we opted for another plan. We removed the siding and shingled roof, took out all the sheetrock, insulation, plumbing & electrical, just leaving the sheathed roof and exterior walls, subfloor attached to the joists, etc. We cut it apart in 8' wide sections we could transport on our trailers, brought it all here and reassembled everything on a new basement.
Then added steel siding and roof, upgraded the insulation, wiring and plumbing, some new drywall, added reclaimed wood flooring trim and furnishings from our Used Anew business, some new tile, new fixtures and appliances and here's the result.

We think our vacation rentals are great "Homes on the road", but these folks might be taking the concept a little too far.
Our ThingMaker, Brian, took this pic on his way to work the other day. You can see the semi-tractor with empty trailer just down the road.
We're thinking this driver was having a particularly unenjoyable day.

Just met Karthik and his crew from Cousins Maine Lobster. They are staying at our Vacation Rental house on their way to La Crosse where they’ll set up the food truck for the day. Karthik says the company has multiple food trucks that travel the country and set up in cities they’ve been requested by their followers. Today they’ll set up at 608 Brewing Company at Copeland Avenue in La Crosse.

Our 3 bedroom, 2 Bath home is opening up in the beginning of December. Need a longer - short term stay in the country?

Fully furnished with all utilities paid and free WiFi. Sits on about an acre.
Big kitchen with full size appliances, stocked with cookware and tableware. Full size washer & dryer. Jetted tub & shower in one bath, large walk-in shower in the other. King & queen bedrooms upstairs, Double bed room downstairs. Large common area downstairs with an extra bed. Wood and tile floors throughout. Deck on the back & big yards front and back. (We mow the lawns and take care of snow on the driveways in winter.) 2 car garage.
A comfortable alternative to long term stays in a motel. Have the whole house and yards to yourself!

Ideal for temp workers in the area for a month or a few.

It was our pleasure to meet and host Ratnakar & Kavitha Bondalapati from the Twin Cities area, this past weekend for their anniversary getaway. Kavitha said she wanted to get out of the Cities to someplace smaller and quieter to celebrate their anniversary.
We're super pleased they chose Big Creek Valley and our Eagle View Apartment!

We just purchased our first order from this company for paper products we'll use in the two vacation rental units we operate. We love all things reclaimed, repurposed, upcycled and recycled and we're excited to see that the Green Paper Products company is going strong in their efforts to support a more environmentally friendly world.
