If diversity of adventure is what you are seeking, Boundless Journeys has trips to satisfy your most imaginative spirit. Offering worldwide adventure tours, featuring experiences ranging from wilderness treks to cultural journeys, we always find the hidden gems of each destination. "We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next, to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate. We travel to bring what little we can, in our ignorance and knowledge, to those parts of the globe whose riches are differently dispersed. And we travel, in essence, to become young fools again—to slow time down and get taken in, and fall in love once more." - Pico Iyer

Your calendar called. It wants an adventure!

As we return to routine and welcome the incoming fall, what better time to take stock of how we've spent our time in 2026, and how we want to wrap it up?

Adventure is the spice of life, and where the fall and early winter are easily booked with holiday prep and nesting, we invite you to add some spice.

How about an early November trip to Bhutan to hike this peaceful kingdom? It's the height of stick season here in Vermont, and a fantastic time to get away and ensure that 2026 doesn't fly by without creating a few more amazing memories.

While this tour takes us from Bhutan to Nepal, rest assured that our friends in that region are safe from the recent flooding, and have assured us that they are eager for our visitors to come explore their country.

While in Bhutan, explore the monasteries and fortresses of this ancient kingdom and discover the unique Bhutanese culture.
In Nepal, jaw-dropping mountain scenery, terraced hillsides, beautiful forests, and friendly villagers greet you on our cultural trek. There’s even an opportunity to take a flight across the Himalayan range past the world’s tallest peaks, including Mount Everest.

That calendar keeps sending us messages that it's ready for an adventure. Are you ready to accept the call?

Reach out at 1.800.941.8010 to chat with one of our real, live humans about this trip! We can't wait to see you on this incredible adventure!

How about chasing the sun and fun around the globe this fall and winter?

Or how about smelling fresh spring wildflowers on the trail in Patagonia when everyone at home is cozied up by the fire?

Maybe it's Bhutan's prayer flags and temples whose call you're finally ready to answer.

Whether you're looking to share an unforgettable trip with family and friends over the holidays or you're just ready to get out of dodge, now is the time to plan.

We have space available on the following adventures:
Palau: October 27-November 5, January 19-28 2027 or March 19-28 2027
New Zealand: November 8-18 or February 4-14 2027

Dawn arrives quietly in Albania.

The first sound isn’t traffic, notification dings, or the hum of an air conditioner. Instead, there’s the soft clink of teacups from the kitchen below, distant brays from grazing donkeys, and the crunch of hiking boots on the trail as another day begins in the Balkans.

At Boundless Journeys, we’ve long believed that one of the great pleasures of hiking travel is experiencing a place at walking pace. That means seeing more, certainly, but it also means hearing a landscape in a way that everyday life rarely allows.

Modern life has become remarkably loud. Traffic, aircraft, construction, lawn equipment, and the constant chatter of machinery form a backdrop we barely question, yet our bodies continue to register it. Long-term exposure to environmental noise has been associated with elevated stress, disrupted sleep, and cardiovascular strain.

Hiking offers a very different sensory experience. Mechanical sounds gradually recede, replaced by birdsong, flowing water, rustling leaves, and footsteps on earth. These landscapes aren’t silent. They’re alive with natural sounds that have accompanied human beings for thousands of years.

How Hiking Reduces Stress
Nature’s restorative effects go beyond simply improving our mood. Research suggests that spending time in natural environments may help reduce stress and heart rate while supporting a greater sense of calm. Natural soundscapes may play a role, particularly when they replace the intrusive noise of roads, engines, and urban activity.

Japan has explored this connection for decades through shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing. Introduced in the 1980s, the practice encourages unhurried time beneath a forest canopy, engaging with the sights, scents, textures, and sounds of the natural environment...

Jack Crownover never leaves home for a trip without an empty bag specifically to bring home souvenirs. His friends and family appreciate that about him ☺️

Jack is our Design and Marketing Intern at Boundless Journeys, and just starting his senior year at UVM majoring in Interaction Design. Originally from Sudbury, Massachusetts, Jack has been in Vermont for three years.

Outside of work, he loves hanging with his friends exploring outside, and is a total car nerd. He loves his blue GTI, watching Formula One, and racing on his simulator at home.

Spain, London, and Oregon rank among his favorite travel destinations, with plenty of lifetime left to explore.

We've loved having Jack in the office bringing the Gen Z perspective to what we do!

"The entire trip felt like we were visiting close friends in Iceland, who bent over backwards to ensure that we saw secret treasures and
had the best experience possible.

When rain threatened to wash out a hike, they took us to a canyon that's known to be in a rain shadow, and we stayed dry all day.

They took us as far north as possible in the hopes of seeing the eclipse, and they shared moving stories about what it's like to live in Iceland." -Peggy S.

Traveling with Boundless Journeys is different in the best of ways.

There’s a moment every guide recognizes.

It doesn’t happen on the first morning, when everyone is still learning names and adjusting backpack straps. It comes a few days later, almost without anyone noticing.

Someone slows their pace so another guest isn’t walking alone. An extra layer is quietly passed across the trail as the temperature drops. The conversation that began over breakfast continues through the afternoon, picking up again over dinner as though these people have known each other for years.

At Boundless Journeys, we’ve watched this happen on small-group hiking tours for more than 25 years. Not because we plan it, but because shared experiences have a remarkable way of bringing people together.

FRIENDSHIP BEGINS ONE STEP AT A TIME

Unlike many vacations, hiking encourages people to experience the day together. A stronger hiker waits at the top of a climb to cheer on someone making the final ascent. Someone jokes that another guest secretly filled their backpack with rocks, then reaches over to help lift it back onto their shoulders.

Our guides see these small acts of kindness every week. They’re never part of the itinerary, but they often become the moments guests remember most.

Sometimes a guide raises a hand and the entire group falls silent as elephants emerge from the grasses of the Serengeti. In Bhutan, strangers linger over tea with a monk inside a centuries-old monastery. Along Japan’s Nakasendo Trail, boots are lined neatly outside a traditional ryokan before everyone gathers around the table to relive the day’s adventures. In Patagonia, conversations stop altogether as a condor catches the morning thermals above the mountains.

It's time to start planning holiday travel!

Perhaps you'd like to trade layers and wool socks for wrinkley fingers and snorkels in Palau...

or maybe you'd like to surround yourself with prayer flags and hike to Tiger's Nest to see for yourself this glorious building in the side of a mountain.

Maybe it's puffins you want to see along with waterfalls in Iceland, or perhaps you're pulled to the glaciers and glory of Patagonia.

Or maybe New Zealand has been on your list, and a family trip to explore the magic of the north and south islands feels like the perfect holiday gift.

As summer winds down (😢), it's the perfect time to book your holiday travel and start planning for memories that last a lifetime. What if, instead of gifts, you gave experiences?

We have space available on the following adventures:
Palau: October 27-November 5
New Zealand: November 8-18
Bhutan: November 7-19
Iceland: November 8-14
Argentina: December 2-11

Give us a call at 1.800.941.8010 or shoot us a DM to chat about making those holiday dreams come true!

5 time winner. THANK YOU!

Long before putting your foot in a boot, a boundless journey begins with a phone call, an email, or a conversation about where you’ve traveled, how you like to hike, and where you might go next.

Because we’re a small company, we take the time to listen. We’re not simply trying to fill a departure. We want to help you choose the journey that genuinely suits you.

Many guests travel with us again and again. We remember their names, favorite destinations, and stories from past trips. Over time, travelers become familiar faces, and part of our wider family.

We are so grateful to all of you who took the time to vote for us this year.

We do not take this recognition for granted.

We are humbled, honored, and celebrating. 🥳

And then it’s back to helping you get on the trail, in the water, whatever way you like to explore.

Cheers to you, adventure travelers!

We're not saying you should visit a country for its food, but...

Japan does not disappoint!

And hiking the Nakasendo Trail in the fall, nibbling on persimmons and chestnuts and slurping soba noodles is among the very best things one could do with their time.

We depart October 7-16 for Japan, and have space available if this beautiful place has been on your list.
