Some stories are found in books. Others are found around the table.

When we chose Montauk by Nicola Harrison for our Hamptons Literary Escape, we knew it would spark thoughtful conversations. What we didn't know was how many unforgettable moments would happen between the chapters.

A weekend of quiet mornings, sailing on Sag Harbor, spontaneous adventures to Montauk, long dinners, shared laughter, and conversations that reminded us why we started The Literary Escape in the first place.

One of our favorite lines from the blog says it best:
"The destination is never really the point. The women are always the story."

If you've ever wondered what a Literary Escape feels like, we'd love to share this chapter with you.

Grab a cup of coffee, settle into your favorite chair, and come relive our Hamptons weekend with us.

Read the full story and discover why we believe the women are always the story.

We'd love to hear from you. Which part of the weekend would you have enjoyed most: sailing, visiting Montauk, lingering over dinner, or simply having uninterrupted time to read?

Some stories are found in books. Others happen around long tables, on sailboats, over afternoon martinis, or late-night glasses of w**e, during conversations that somehow begin with literature and end somewhere much more personal. Our Hamptons Literary Escape was built around Montauk by Nicola H

To the mom who reads one page before she falls asleep and calls it enough.

This Mother's Day, she deserves more than a candle.

Give her — or give yourself — six unhurried days on the Spanish coast. Sun on the water. A good book. Chef-prepared meals. And a group of women who will understand, immediately, why she has four books on the go at once.

The Literary Escape's Sitges Summer Escape is open for 2026. September 23–28 on the Catalonian coast — and spots are filling.

Tag a reader mom who needs this. Or quietly send it to someone who loves you enough to take a hint.

To every mom who reads one page before sleep and counts it as enough —
She deserves more than a candle this year. 🕯️📚

Six days in Sitges, Spain. Mediterranean light, a private villa, chef-prepared meals, and the rare, gorgeous luxury of uninterrupted reading time.

Give it as a gift. Treat yourself. Both are valid. Both are wonderful.

September 23–28, 2026 · Spots are limited.

Some people travel with a suitcase.

Readers travel with a book.

Through pages we’ve wandered cobblestone streets in Paris,
sat beneath olive trees in Tuscany,
and dreamed of the sea along the coast of Sitges.

There’s something magical about an independent bookstore.
The creaky floors.
Handwritten staff picks.
The book you didn’t know you needed until it was in your hands.

📚 In honor of Independent Bookstore Day, we want to celebrate the places that keep stories alive.

Tell us…

What’s your favorite independent bookstore?

Bonus points if it’s somewhere you discovered while traveling.

Before book clubs.
Before overflowing nightstands.
Before saying “just one more chapter.”

There was that first book.

The one that made reading feel like magic.
The one you checked out from the library again and again.
The one that made you realize stories could take you anywhere.

✨ In honor of International Children’s Book Day, tell us:

What book made you fall in love with reading?
