Welcome to Key West, where the ocean breeze is warm, the cocktails are cold, and life moves at its own wonderfully unhurried pace.

There's a reason writers have been drawn to this little island for generations. Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, Elizabeth Bishop, and Judy Blume all found inspiration here. Maybe it's the salt air, maybe it's the sunsets, or maybe Key West simply has a way of making the rest of the world feel very far away.

For this escape, we're taking a page from island life and slowing things down.

Think leisurely mornings with coffee and a good book, afternoons reading beside a private pool, and evenings filled with laughter, great conversation, and a glass of w**e (or two).

No packed schedules. No rushing from one activity to the next. Just good books, warm breezes, a little island exploring, and the company of women who understand that sometimes the best vacation plans are no plans at all.

Our very own episode of the Real Housewives of Sitges. Hold the drama and the table flipping.

Chapter Three took us to a villa in the hills above Sitges, where the infinity pool overlooked the old town and the Mediterranean. Our guests took "reading retreat" at its word and arrived with stacks of books. Chef Amanda kept us very well fed and gathered us around one evening for a proper paella lesson. We tasted Malvasia at a w**ery that has kept a rare local grape alive since 1935, and spent time with the story of a town that has always made room for everyone.

When we chose Montauk by Nicola Harrison for our Hamptons Literary Escape, we knew it would spark thoughtful conversations. What we didn't know was how many unforgettable moments would happen between the chapters.

A weekend of quiet mornings, sailing on Sag Harbor, spontaneous adventures to Montauk, long dinners, shared laughter, and conversations that reminded us why we started The Literary Escape in the first place.
