We’re excited to share an update on our team!

Alex McBride will be stepping into a new role as our Destination Specialist – a position focused on growing visitation, expanding events, and attracting more conferences to Cherokee County through strong relationship building and strategic outreach.

In this role, Alex will:
• Build and maintain connections with event planners and organizations
• Actively pursue and secure new event opportunities
• Host site visits and collaborate with local partners
• Support strategic marketing efforts and visual content

This transition marks an intentional step forward in expanding our reach and impact — with a focus on increasing event bookings, strengthening long-term partnerships, and driving economic growth in our community.

As we begin this transition, we are hiring for a Marketing Coordinator to support our growing efforts. We look forward to welcoming a new team member soon – stay tuned for more details!
