I don't understand what has done to their business model. I understand they don't want to be a budget carrier anymore. The problem is if you think you can charge exponentially more while also taking longer to get to the destination.

There are plenty of competitors who can get you to your final destination cheaper and quicker than Southwest. So why pay extra? Why would I agree to take a two stop flight to go from ATL to Miami!? I don't need to go ATL to DFW.

SWA needs to realize you can't get rid of MOST of your hubs and raise prices! You're running off your clients.

I hope they wake up and smell the coffee.

“As long as there are trains and horses in my parks, there will always be a piece of me.” - Walt Disney

This year, we read a children's biography of Walt Disney. For the first time, his whole personality and work came together for me. We actually see his work almost every day, and we often don't think of the person behind it. He was an animal and nature lover.

The young creative moved to a rural town in Missouri when he was about 9 years old. It was there that Walt fell in love with animals. That love fueled his creativity. The quiet, rural lifestyle also gave him plenty of space for his imagination to roam. In the little town of Marceline, he sold his first drawing. What was it? A horse of course!

Walt would smile if he saw my girls' faces light up. He would chuckle proudly to himself if he heard me too, squeal "oh the horse has an Elsa braid!" Because all ages appreciate anthropomorphism, right? It's a dream of anyone who doesn't lose their imagination and wonder for nature.

Add this to my bucket list. 4th of July at the top of the Empire state building!

What do you think? Is it worth $550? I think it's a once in lifetime experience! Of course, it would also cost over $1000 for a couple. YIKES!
