One of the best moments in trip planning is knowing my clients are about to arrive somewhere truly special. 🌺

This week, my clients are checking in to the beautiful and I am so excited for them to experience everything we planned for their getaway, just the two of them, from their private Road to Hana adventure to time out on the water for whale watching.

And of course, the hotel itself is incredible. The views, the pools, the restaurants, and the relaxed Wailea setting make it such a wonderful place to settle in for a few days.

Here’s a little secret… guests at Andaz Maui have access to a courtesy car to explore Wailea. It is such a fun perk and a great way to head to nearby beaches, restaurants, and shops.

I cannot wait for them to experience it all. Maui is always a good idea. 🌊

Some of my favorite travel memories begin and end with the ocean.

From the stillness of an early morning sail to the rhythm of waves just outside your window, the ocean has a way of slowing time and sharpening perspective.

Some of my earliest memories are by the water, and I still find peace and inspiration there today.

Today is World Ocean Day, a reminder of the joy, connection, and calm the sea brings to travel.

Travel is a privilege and a powerful way to connect with the world around us. 🌍

The way we travel matters, and it’s something I think about with every itinerary I create.

Here are a few things I consider when planning meaningful, mindful travel:
1. Ask questions. I check in on how hotels and cruise lines support their local communities and protect the places they call home.
2. Travel light—literally and figuratively. Packing with care and choosing fewer but richer experiences is better for you and the planet.
3. Be intentional. Walking tours, train travel, and choosing destinations committed to sustainability all go a long way.

Every small choice adds up. Where you stay, how you move, and what you support can make a difference.
