If you paddle, boat, fish, or just love getting out on the water around St Pete Beach and St Petersburg — this is for you.
The Southwest Florida Eco-tourism Alliance was created because access to the waters we all share isn't as guaranteed as it should be. Quietly, one decision at a time, public access points get harder to reach, more restricted, or disappear altogether — often before anyone even knows a change is on the table.
The Alliance's mission is simple: keep these waters open, and keep the public informed. They do that through research, public education, and advocacy — mapping access points, tracking waterway policy, and making sure the people who actually use these waters have a voice in what happens to them.
The Alliance is a brand-new Florida nonprofit, just getting off the ground, and Island Ferry supports them 100%. Follow along, share this with a fellow paddler or boater, and help them build something that protects access for the next generation the way it was protected for us.
Public waters belong to the public. Let's keep it that way. 🛶
