Looking for a fun, family-friendly way to celebrate freedom, culture, and community? The Juneteenth Jamboree of Greater Fostoria is back and bigger than ever!

Join the celebration on Saturday, June 13, at Foundation Park, 1225 South Union Street in Fostoria, for a FREE event packed with entertainment, activities, food, and fun from 11am-7pm, rain or shine!

This exciting day will feature:

• Live entertainment all day
• A mouthwatering Rib-Off competition
• Delicious food trucks
• A Kids Zone full of fun
• Free kids book giveaway while supplies last
• Vendor booths
• Co****le tournament
• Silent auction items
• Bounce houses, face painting, caricatures, and much more!

Special attractions include a live drawing by Chudney Patterson, Seneca County Parks’ Big Bass Toss, the Toledo Museum of Art Outreach Team Pop-Up Gallery, and performances throughout the day from talented local and regional artists.

The celebration will also feature the Juneteenth Proclamation by Mayor Don Mennel, a keynote address by Mrs. Libra Martin Tedrow, performances by Sankofa Sounds and the Djobi Ensemble, and the announcement of the Juneteenth Best Slab of Ribs winner!

Whether you’re coming for the food, the music, the family activities, or the opportunity to celebrate and learn together, there is truly something for everyone!

Get ready for a day of high-flying excitement! ✈️

The City of Fostoria, Ohio invites residents and visitors to Wings Over Fostoria: Terminal Grand Opening Airshow this Saturday!

Taking place Saturday, June 13, from 9am to 4pm at the Donald P. Miller Fostoria Metro Airport, the celebration will feature a full day of aviation entertainment and family-friendly activities in honor of the airport’s new terminal facility.

Presented by Angle of Attack, this free community celebration will include airshow performances at 11am and 2pm, a variety of aircraft on display, local food trucks, and public tours of the new facility. Guests can also enjoy paid helicopter rides from Intrepid Helicopters for a unique view of the area from above. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit back and watch the airshow comfortably!

Admission and parking are free. The new terminal marks a major investment in Fostoria’s future, strengthening the airport’s ability to serve pilots, visitors, and the community while positioning the facility for future opportunities.

The Donald P. Miller Fostoria Metro Airport is located at 4495 N. County Road 25 in Fostoria. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is Sunday, June 14.

Something BERRY exciting is happening in Bloomville this Saturday!🍓

The Bloomville UCC invites the community to the 69th Annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 13th from 5pm to 7pm at 31 N. Marion Street in Bloomville, OH!

Guests can enjoy the festival's famous homemade strawberry shortcake topped with fresh strawberries and ice cream, along with sandwiches, salads, pies, baked beans, and more. Families can also enjoy a bounce house, bingo, raffle prizes, and photos with the Strawberry Truck.

For nearly 70 years, this cherished community tradition has brought friends, neighbors, and visitors together for an evening of great food, fun, and fellowship!

The event is rain or shine and parking is available behind the church. Don't miss this sweet experience!

Grab your friends, family, and teammates and head to New Riegel for a day of community fun at Party in the Park!⚾

On Saturday, June 27th, the New Riegel Ball Fields will come alive with a Wiffle Ball Tournament, live music, a beer garden, concessions, and activities for all ages. Whether you're stepping up to the plate or just coming out to enjoy the atmosphere, there's something for everyone.

Hosted by the New Riegel Summer Ball Association and the Village of New Riegel, Party in the Park is helping raise funds for a new concession stand and playground at the ball fields. These improvements will create a welcoming gathering place for local families, players, and visitors while enhancing the park for future generations!

It was worth the hype! 🚂

Today, thousands of railfans, families, photographers, and visitors gathered in Fostoria to witness the arrival of Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014. The crowds showed up, the community showed up, and one of the most iconic steam locomotives in the world delivered a truly unforgettable experience.

Thank you to everyone who visited Fostoria today, supported local businesses, volunteered, worked behind the scenes, and helped make this event such a success.

But we’re not done yet.

Big Boy 4014 returns to Fostoria on July 13, with public viewing opportunities scheduled for July 14 and a westbound departure through the Iron Triangle on July 15.

From lawn chairs and cameras to families and lifelong train enthusiasts, today’s crowd is a reminder that rail tourism is alive and well in Fostoria. Our community has welcomed visitors from near and far, all coming together to experience one of the most iconic steam locomotives ever built.
