Vacations always start with the booking, and I had the best travel agent, Barbara, from Grand European Travel. She was friendly, nice, knowledgeable, and helped me pick the perfect vacation trip. The Country Roads of Portugal tour was fantastic. The places we visited were amazing. Beautiful sights. The food was excellent - delicious and very flavorful. And, of course, the various w**es were exceptional. We saw the distinctly different regions of Portugal from the modern city of Lisbon to the resort are of Algarve, to the w**e region of the Douro Valley, and the port w**e city of Porto which sits on steep, winding hills that start at the river. This was an amazing trip, with an amazing team of folks who put it together. I always go through GET (for over 25 years now), because I know the efforts their folks put into ensuring amazing tours.

The itinerary of this trip was excellent. It provided a lot to see and do in Athens with the Acropolis as a highlight. The island visits with 3 nights stay at both Santorini and Mykonos were excellent. Lots of great things to see and do with chances to kick back and relax a bit, The optional catamaran trip was fantastic and not to be missed. Terrific scenery and 3 snorkeling stops on a very nice vessel and welcoming crew. Our travel director was the best. His wealth of information and knowledge of the optimum things to do was amazing. He managed the participants so all felt valued but kept the group in sync and on time.
