Tucson’s greatest strength has always been its people – a community defined by kindness, culture, and connection.

As we grieve this tragic act of violence against members of our LGBTQIA+ community, we extend our deepest sympathies to those impacted and stand with all who are affected by hate and intolerance. Tucson’s spirit is defined by its diversity, compassion, and the many people who work every day to make this a welcoming place for all. We will continue to uphold the values of respect, inclusion, and belonging that define Tucson.

In celebration of International Bat Night, we're spotlighting our famous nocturnal neighbors: the Rillito Bridge bats! 🦇

Thousands of bats call the Campbell Avenue Bridge home, and on summer nights just before sundown, you can catch them taking flight in large swarms like this one! Your best chance of seeing the bats is between April and September, before they migrate south for the winter.

📍 Campbell Avenue Bridge (4299 N Campbell Ave, Tucson)
➡️ Tip: For the best views, use The Loop’s walking path along the Rillito River.
