(Paid on my own) Tortillas made fresh daily, mesquite grilled carne asada, and a full bar. That’s what makes this my favorite place to get carne asada north of River Rd. They have a good happy hour, and a variety of salsas in their toppings bar. Grilled onions and jalapeños as well. It’s like you’re at a roadside taco stand but then you get a full bar and air conditioning to sweeten the deal!

(Food Tour Partner) The apps for this meal were comped. Over 20 foodies met up for an amazing dinner at The tapas, sangria, paella, and dessert were so delicious and thoughtfully made. We had charcuterie boards, seafood paella, lamb chops, salmon, mussels, octopus, fried oysters, ropa vieja, chicken, Basque cider, and Basque whiskey. Any size party will have fun here, but I like to go with a large group so we can all share bites of the different menu items. The foodies that joined me for dinner were:

(Paid on my own) Go support this place! Whenever I happen to be out on the Southeast part of Tucson I try to hit up Papa Locos for one of their massive burritos or juicy burgers. Definitely “hidden gem” status. The liquor store in the gas station next door has a pretty diverse seletion of booze I just noticed…😃

(Partner) popped in to one of my personal favorite places and spoke with the owner. We tried the mezze platter, various kebabs, and a couple Persian stews. Family owned and operated small businesses like this are why I keep putting out the reels. He would not let me pay or tip no matter how hard I tried. Thank you for feeding me and my family. We are very grateful for your generosity and hospitality.
