My obsession for travel started with a trip to Aruba 6 months after having my second child. I fell in love with the island and I have returned 10 times since, but along the way I also fell in love with Mexico and many other Caribbean islands as I searched for the perfect BEACH. I’ve found quite a few over these past 20 years and while doing it I discovered the ALL INCLUSIVE resort concept. I love researching the properties, touring them & most importantly EXPERIENCING them by personally staying there. As an avid runner & beach walker, I love to explore the islands and beaches on foot which allows me to really know what they are like. I enjoy sharing the knowledge I’ve accumulated and my love of travel with others by crafting & booking CUSTOM trips for my clients. I love to find the PERFECT MATCH! What does that mean? For example, a perfect beach to one person might be: a long stretch for walking and crystal clear calm water with a sandy bottom. To someone who wants to snorkel off the beach, be able to play in the waves or even hear the waves crash that would not be their perfect beach. It is not one size fits all. I like to listen to what my clients DESIRE, what they want to DO & EXPERIENCE, and the AMENITIES & VIBE they are looking for in a resort. From there, I recommend islands or countries that meet those NEEDS, and resorts that are a GREAT fit. Plus, I will take care of all the details prior to the trip and needs that arise while vacationing. I will be there every step of the way. All of this is COMPLIMENTARY- no fees or extra charges. One of Windstar’s special traditions is its sail-away ceremony!

Windstar originally became known for its beautiful sailing yachts, where the massive white sails are raised to the dramatic music of “Conquest of Paradise” by Vangelis.

Since Star Breeze is a motor yacht without sails, Windstar carries on the tradition with a ceremonial raising of its flag as the same music plays.

It’s a wonderful nod to the cruise line’s sailing heritage and a pretty memorable way to begin our journey through French Polynesia!

A peek inside my Ocean View Suite aboard Windstar’s Star Breeze.

One of the things I love about this yacht is that every stateroom is a suite—even the entry-level accommodations.

At 277 square feet, my Ocean View Suite is quite spacious compared to standard cabins on most larger cruise ships. It features a large picture window, separate sitting area, queen-size bed, walk-in closet, and a bathroom with double sinks and a walk in shower.

There are also some nice luxury touches, including L’Occitane bath products, plush robes, fresh flowers, and complimentary 24-hour room service.

And here’s what makes Star Breeze even more special: just 312 guests and approximately 200 crew members!

Countdown to Tahiti continues…
🐋I have to admit I’m a little obsessed with whales & have done whale watching tours in both Cabo and Puerto Vallarta.
BUT…what you can experience in the Tahitian islands takes it to a whole new level. You can SWIM with the humpback whales😳. Yes, in the water with them! I did it 3 years ago and YES I’m signed up to do it again. Is it a bit terrifying? Yep, but such an amazing experience.

Countdown to Tahiti continues…
🦈French Polynesia is known throughout the world for its marine life. A true paradise for snorkelers and divers! And YES there are a lot of sharks! Black-tipped and Gray Reef Sharks are the most common and found in the lagoons all around the islands.

You can also see manta rays, dolphins, sea turtles, sting rays, leopard rays, clown fish (Nemo), barracuda, and moray eels just to name a few!🐠

I have snorkeled in some amazing places including the Great Barrier Reef and I think this is the best there is. I am so excited to see the manta rays again! These gentle giants can have wingspans as wide as 12 feet!

Countdown to Tahiti continues…

The story of the overwater bungalow begins on the small Tahitian island of Ra'iātea over 55 yrs ago, where a trio of American expats was running one of the country’s earliest hotels. Trying to get publicity for the island—it didn’t have any beaches, but they were right on the reef, so they wanted to put in something different.

The creative solution: three rooms on stilts, from which you could snorkel directly around the reef. They were to become the world’s first overwater bungalows.

They were basic, but well appointed, and cost $30 per day per couple, all meals included!

My husband & I stayed in one the last time we were in Tahiti- it was pretty spectacular!
