💜 A little vulnerable post from me today…

I know the travel industry can feel saturated. There are so many websites, apps, deals, travel agents, and endless options at your fingertips.

And if I’m being vulnerable, sometimes it can be a little discouraging when my inbox is quiet.

Not because I expect everyone to be booking a vacation all the time—but because I wish people knew just how much I genuinely LOVE doing this.

When someone reaches out to me about a trip, you are never “bothering” me.

You’re actually giving me an excuse to do one of my favorite things. 😂💜

I love taking your ideas and turning them into an actual vacation. I love researching the destinations, comparing resorts, looking at flights, thinking through the little details and figuring out what makes the most sense for you.

I’m not just sending you a link and saying, “Here are some hotels.”

I pour myself into it.

I’ll build you a slide deck with options. I’ll compare the pros and cons. I’ll tell you what I would choose and why. I’ll think about the things you might not even know to ask yet.

Because when you trust me with your vacation, I value that.

Your time away is precious. Your money matters. Your PTO matters. The memories you’re hoping to make matter.

Many destinations require your passport to remain valid for several months beyond your trip, which is why waiting until the last minute to renew can create unnecessary stress.

💜 Adventure Awaits Tip: Take a look at your passport TODAY. If it’s getting anywhere near its expiration date—and you’re hoping to travel internationally in the coming year—start looking into renewal now rather than waiting until you have a trip booked.

Also remember:

✈️ Check the passport validity requirements for your specific destination before booking.

📅 Give yourself plenty of time for processing.

📸 Make sure your new passport photo meets current requirements.

🛂 If your passport is lost, damaged, or you’ve had certain personal information changes, you may need a different process than a standard renewal.

🛂 Passport Series — Part 4: Airport & Customs Tips

You’ve got your passport. Your trip is booked. Your bags are packed. Now it’s time to GO! ✈️🌎

If you’re traveling internationally, a little preparation can make getting through the airport and customs much easier.

Here are a few things to remember:

💜 Keep your passport accessible.
Don’t bury it at the bottom of your carry-on—you’ll need it during different parts of your journey.

🧳 NEVER put your passport in your checked luggage.
Keep it with you from the time you leave home until you arrive at your destination.

📸 Keep a backup copy.
Before leaving, make a photocopy or keep a secure digital copy of your passport information page in case your passport is lost or stolen.

📱 Have your travel information handy.
Keep your hotel or resort name, address, return flight information and itinerary somewhere you can easily access them.

🛂 Be prepared for customs and immigration.
You may be asked where you’re staying, how long you’re visiting and what you’re bringing into the country. Having your information ready can help keep things moving smoothly.

Traveling internationally doesn’t have to feel intimidating. A little preparation goes a long way!
