The Public Relations Committee of the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Ken and Marty Kay with a Certificate of Appreciation for their decades of service to our community and our country.

"For over 30 years, Ken and Marty have lovingly collected and respectfully retired worn American flags, ensuring that each one is honored with dignity. Through their work with the Vernal Elks Lodge—where Ken has been a member for 58 years—they’ve helped retire hundreds of flags every year."

Their dedication is more than a routine—it's a powerful act of patriotism, rooted in family legacy and a deep love for the United States.

As part of this recognition, the Kays will be honored during our Veterans Day Flag Retirement Ceremony on November 11, where over 400 flags they collected will be respectfully retired.

Please join us in thanking Ken and Marty Kay for their unwavering service and for reminding us what it truly means to honor the red, white, and blue.
