This time two years ago we were onboard the enjoying our port stops in . This truly was the trip of a lifetime and we would return in a heartbeat! 💓 Note the stop lights in the shape of a heart - they changed them in 2020 to lift everyone’s spirits and left them that way. Fun fact: Nashville offers nonstop air service to Iceland if you prefer a land visit vs sea. I recommend a cruise for several reasons. There’s so much of the world to explore!

On this day two years ago, 7/24/23, we were having brunch at Palo onboard as we crossed the Arctic Circle during our Iceland/Norway/Sweden/France/Denmark voyage. It’s amazing how you can see so much of the world via a cruise! 🚢

Relaxing day at we love that this resort is 10 minutes from the airport and less than a two hour flight from home! Oh, and the beach and pools are wonderful. And, I found ice cream at the food truck available all day and night ❤️

We made it to paradise — hello, Castaway Cay!

Here’s the first glimpse of Disney’s private island from our stateroom… turquoise waters, swaying palm trees, and a full day of sunshine and magic ahead. Whether it’s snorkeling, biking, or just lounging with a tropical drink in hand, Castaway Cay never disappoints.

Who else dreams of waking up to this view?

Exploring Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point



The walk from the ship to the island is the source of many comments! There are shuttles via golf cart for those needing assistance, and these little red wagons are great for the littles. There’s a tram that takes all guests to the beach areas - Family Beach and Serenity Bay. The island is very accessible with deck planking throughout. The water is a beautiful tranquil blue color. The food at True True BBQ is much like Cookies on Castaway Cay. So yummy!

Note: the pier is intentionally long to avoid the need to tender and most importantly, to preserve marine life.
