First charter of the year. It was a great time and a great sail. Also nice to see the weather turn the corner for us. Even the wind became pleasant rather than angry.

All I need is grass to grow, sunshine and more charters. I have a new dock this year. And actually I am starting the season with more charters than I normally do because of the special I was running at $50 off on any charter. My first charter is this Sunday. I was supposed to have one last Saturday, but they rescheduled. It wouldn’t have been the most pleasant of days, but August, which is what they switched to will be much more pleasant. The biggest thing for me about doing the sailing charters is introducing people to sailing. This particular charter was toward the end of the season and you can see that the young girl is all smiles. Not only that but months later, she did a project for school and she told the class about her experience sailing. She also made me an ornament for the Christmas tree. It’s a pretty special feeling for me when the time on the sailboat affects someone this way. I think she at least deserves a Sailing Dazes hat.

5 mile an hour wind, no problem. I look forward to it these days. My first pictures of the big blue sail up from the perspective of another boat thanks too Lori and John Paris on Denali. This was a Wednesday afternoon charter.
