Hello!

We have two ways that you can save when you sign up to join us at the Family Geology Camp!

Our Geology Family Camp, 2025 is June 20-23, 2025. The theme is "Defending your Faith with Rocks, Dinosaurs, and the Flood!"

Located at beautiful Peniel Ranch in the Okanogan region of Washington state on the Columbia River, you can look forward to things like:

-Fascinating talks on Creation, the Flood, and geology!
-Rock Identification in the Field
-Searching for concretions on the banks of the Columbia River
-Fun activities, like fossil dig project, creating dinosaur "poops" and models
-(Time permitting) A day excursion to Dry Falls, the Scablands, and/or the Columbia Basalts
-Special activities for younger campers
-Peniel Ranch activities, like kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, gutter ball, gaga ball, archery, ping pong, and more!

There are two ways that you can save when you register:

-Register by May 1 and receive $25 off of your registration
-Invite somebody who has not been to Peniel Ranch before, and you will save $50 on your registration!

Grab the kids! Let's do a little history and geology together. In particular, let's dive into an earthquake that had massive repercussions in Montana in 1959. Watch this video from Rockman Pat where you can learn more about this monumental earthquake at Hebgen Lake, just northwest of Yellowstone National Park.

Want to go deeper?

Find the answer to these questions!

-What was the timeline of the earthquake in the first hour?
-What steps were taken in the immediate hours after the earthquake to rescue the trapped campers?
-What could have been the result if the dam caused by the earthquake had not been able to be breeched?

And, if you can find it, the book, The Night the Mountain Fell chronicles the events of the earthquake, in a very immediate form, as it was written right after the earthquake took place.
