Saturday was another unforgettable day in Kenya! After traveling to Amboseli, we enjoyed a game drive through Amboseli National Park, where we saw many beautiful and majestic animals in their natural habitat. We then climbed to the top of Observation Hill and took in breathtaking views of the park while enjoying a picnic lunch.

Afterward, we visited a Maasai village just outside the park. The Maasai people continue to practice many of their traditional customs and way of life. They warmly welcomed us, shared their culture and traditions, and gave us the opportunity to learn about their daily lives. We also had the chance to see and purchase some of their beautiful handmade crafts.

It was a wonderful day filled with incredible scenery, wildlife, and cultural experiences that we’ll never forget!

On Friday, we traveled from the Maasai Mara National Reserve to Lake Naivasha, where we enjoyed a relaxing boat ride and learned about the many birds and animals that call the lake home. Along the way, we made a few stops at local gift shops to pick up souvenirs and experience a little of the local culture. We saw lots of interesting things on our road trip! After arriving at our lodge, we checked into our rooms and enjoyed some much-needed rest after another wonderful day of adventure in Kenya. 💕 Pam

Canadian Rockies day 5… we rose nice and early in Jasper this morning to board the Rocky Mountaineer train! We had an amazing day riding south and west to Kamloops. We saw beautiful mountains, lakes, rivers and valleys. The service and hospitality on the train was superb. We enjoyed a warmer evening in Kamloops. Tomorrow is day 2 on the train.

Our Canada Trip is continuing to please!!!! We spent the night in Jasper. It stays light until around midnight and the sun comes up around 4:00 am. We had a cloudy start to our day and still the scenery is beautiful. We drove to Maligne Lake. We saw other glacial lakes on the way and lots of forest fire devastation from the large fire in the area from 2024. On Maligne Lake we took a cruise. Oh and we saw a moose! 🫎 After our cruise we came back to Jasper for some free time. Our evening ended with a wonderful Italian dinner. Looking forward to boarding the Rocky Mountaineer!

The Canada group had a fantastic Saturday. We traveled from Calgary. Saw the location of the 1988 Olympics. We traveled west towards the beautiful Canadian Rockies. We had a clear path on the way to our excursion on the Columbia Ice Fields. Once we got there it started raining then turned to snow!!!! It stopped while we were on the Athabasca Glacier so we were able to not get soaked! The ride up was an adventure on the ice! On the way to Jasper where we are spending the night, we stopped at the impressive Athabasca Falls. What a day!!!! Oh and we saw Big horn sheep and a Grizzly and her cub!!!!

Our third day in Kenya was truly the pinnacle of our travel experience! We soared above the breathtaking Maasai Mara National Reserve in a hot air balloon, watching the sun rise over the stunning Kenyan landscape. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that none of us will ever forget.

After landing, we were treated to an incredible bush breakfast in the heart of the reserve. We then headed out on safari and were rewarded with sightings of so many amazing animals in their natural habitat. From the beauty of the sunrise to the excitement of the wildlife encounters, every moment was unforgettable.

What an extraordinary day and a memory we will cherish forever! 🇰🇪 💕 Pam

We are in Canada! We started out yesterday picking up guests to spend the night in Tulsa area. We woke up early to get on the plane to go to Calgary. We met our Canadian guide at the Calgary airport. We had a wonderful dinner at Skye 360 tower. At the tower we met one of the workers -Ben, who once had to climb all 802 stairs carrying 110 pounds of chicken. We were impressed! We were ready for an early evening. More fun to come tomorrow!

Yesterday was our second full day in Kenya, and what an amazing day it was!

We left Nairobi and made our way to the Maasai Mara, stopping along the way for a photo opportunity overlooking the breathtaking Great Rift Valley.

When we arrived at the Fig Tree Camp, a delicious lunch was waiting for us. After getting settled into our beautiful cabins, we headed out for an evening game drive—and it did not disappoint! We saw lions, antelope, warthogs, giraffes, elephants, water buffalo, and so much more.

After our safari adventure, we returned to camp for a wonderful dinner and enjoyed entertainment by the local Maasai. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic day filled with unforgettable sights and experiences.

Kenya is already exceeding expectations! 💕

Yesterday was our first full day in Kenya, and it was unforgettable. We started with a city tour of Nairobi, including a visit to the KICC building, where we enjoyed a spectacular rooftop view of the city. With a population of more than 8 million people, Nairobi is vibrant and full of energy.

We then visited the Nairobi Museum and the Giraffe Centre before taking a drive through Nairobi National Park. In the evening, we had dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, where we sampled alligator, ostrich, kingfish, and many other local meats. After an amazing meal, we returned to the beautiful Tamarind Tree Hotel.

It was an amazing day and a wonderful introduction to Kenya. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the trip has in store! 💕 Pam

Passau Germany and our own mini Oktoberfest in June!
All good things must come to an end… eventually. So, we ended on a high note! We landed in Passau on a Sunday morning so the only thing opened was souvenir shops and a few restaurants. Germany is one of the last countries that is very strict about businesses closing on Sunday. It reminded me of my childhood. We did a walking city tour and learned a lot about its history. Next we went up river for an hour or so and ended up in a little village where we experienced a German Oktoberfest with a local band and some amazing dancers. There was also a pretzel and beer or two available for those that wanted an authentic experience. Everyone enjoyed the music, local families and just the down home feeling. Well, thanks for following along we are heading home with a bunch of memories made…. Best job ever😉
