A summer camp experience for children with communication challenges, including speech sound disorder

10/31/2026

Happy Halloween from Meadowood! Whether you’re dressing up, crafting, or enjoying a quiet night, we hope your evening has a little fun and a lot of belonging. What’s your costume or cozy-night plan?

10/28/2026

Theme days give us a reason to be extra silly together. Capes, hats, and creative outfits have all made appearances on the mountain. Which camp theme would you happily dress up for again?

10/26/2026

Keep AAC available for Halloween choices, comments, and breaks. Communication belongs in the celebration.

10/26/2026

At Meadowood, Master Class brings campers together around shared activities and communication goals. A project might involve baking, storytelling, or creating. The fun gives everyone something meaningful to share.

10/20/2026

Communication includes jokes, questions, opinions, and saying no. Let’s make room for all of those messages, however someone communicates. What’s one opinion you’re sharing today?

10/17/2026

Would you rather jump into a giant pile of leaves or make the world’s biggest pumpkin craft? We’d like to hear your very important fall opinion!

10/15/2026

Songs, stories, and a place to gather at the end of the day. Campfire is one of those Meadowood traditions that follows you home. Which camp song gets stuck in your head?

10/12/2026

After you say something, pause. Give your child room to respond before adding another question. A conversation can move at their pace. Try it during one everyday moment this week.

10/10/2026

Camp names are part of Meadowood’s personality. If you were choosing a brand-new camp name today, what would it be? Something outdoorsy, something silly, or something completely unexpected?

10/08/2026

Friendship bracelets, bead animals, and creative experiments: the Makerspace gives campers room to make something their own. We love seeing what happens when a table of supplies meets a table of ideas!
