A Taste of Umatilla County will bring together the flavors, people and traditions that make our region special.
Guests will experience chef inspired bites of seasonal produce, locally raised produce, meats and local w**es, and other libations, while also learning about the First Foods of the Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla peoples—including water, salmon, big game, roots and berries—and their enduring connection to culture, community and the land.

🤠 Round-Up Week is here! 🐎

This week, Pendleton comes alive for the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon Night Show—a celebration deeply rooted in the history, culture and traditions of Eastern Oregon.

Since 1910, the Pendleton Round-Up has grown from a local rodeo into one of the most iconic Western celebrations in the country. And this year, top PRCA cowboys and cowgirls from across the country are coming to Pendleton to compete for championship titles and the chance to add their names to Round-Up history. Get ready for heart-pounding action in the arena, from bronc riding and bull riding to barrel racing, roping and more!

An important part of that history is the enduring connection with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, whose participation and traditions have been an integral part of the Round-Up from its early years. The annual Indian Relay races, Happy Canyon and the many Indigenous traditions woven throughout the week help showcase and honor the region’s Indigenous and Western heritage.

And there’s so much more to experience beyond the arena! 🎉 Explore the many vendor booths, stroll through historic downtown Pendleton, shop local, enjoy great food and entertainment, and take in the energy that fills the community all week long.
