Sometimes the best mountain activity is simply taking it all in.

Ride to the summit of Whitefish Mountain Resort for expansive views across the Flathead Valley and toward Glacier National Park. Once you’re there, keep the adventure going with lift-accessed mountain biking, zip line tours, the Alpine Slide or more than 60 suspended obstacles in the Aerial Adventure Park.

There’s plenty happening on the mountain too. The 44th annual Big Mountain Run takes place this Saturday, July 25, and the $10 Downhill Series continues July 30 before its final race on August 6.

Beyond the bike park, spend the day riding the Alpine Slide, navigating more than 60 obstacles in the Aerial Adventure Park, soaring through the zip line course or taking in the view on a scenic lift ride.

The first thing we notice at Herb & Omni is the room itself. Dark-beamed ceilings. Gilded mirrors clustered salon-style across the walls. Pendant lights that belong in a Milanese townhouse. The space feels warm, ornate, and transportive. Even the cocktail menu suggests expectations are about to be r...

Whitefish Trail season is here, and the Hit the Trail Challenge is underway.

All May long, log your miles on the Whitefish Trail and help support the work of Whitefish Legacy Partners. Hike, run, bike, ride, or bring the dog. Every mile counts.

Explore Whitefish is proud to be a sponsoring partner for this year’s challenge because the Whitefish Trail is a big part of what makes this place so special, for locals and visitors alike. Supporting the trail means supporting outdoor access, community connection, and the year-round stewardship of the places we all love.

Weekly prizes are up for grabs, with categories changing throughout the month:

May 1–9: Most miles hiked
May 10–16: Most miles run
May 17–23: Most miles biked
May 24–31: Dog with the most trail miles

Start logging your miles at whitefishlegacy.org.
