Every month I sit down and look at the trips I’m helping families plan and I’m just overcome with gratitude for this path I’ve carved for myself 💙

From Disney magic to Universal thrills and chill cruise vibes, getting to help families plan vacations they’re genuinely excited about is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

I love seeing all the different travel styles too. Some families are rope-drop-to-fireworks people. Some want pool days and slow mornings. Some want butterbeer. Some want ocean views.

And every trip gets to look a little different.

Everyone says “wait until they’re older so they’ll remember it…”and I’m gonna say something controversial:

Take them before they turn 3. ✨

Yep. Toddler Disney is elite and I will never stop saying it 😂

Here’s why:
✨ Kids under 3 are FREE at Walt Disney World. No park ticket needed.

Here’s the part a lot of people don’t realize…

Disney goes by your child’s age at check-in. So if your little one is 2 when you arrive, even if they turn 3 during the trip, they’re still considered 2 for the whole vacation which can save your family hundreds.

But the money-saving part isn’t even my favorite reason because while people love to say “they won’t remember it…”

Maybe they won’t remember every ride.
Maybe they won’t remember what day they met Mickey. But they will remember how it felt.

They’ll remember the music on Main Street.
The castle sparkling in front of them.
The hug from Mickey that felt SO real.
The bubble wand in their sticky little hand.
Falling asleep in the stroller after the most exciting day ever.
The bedtime snuggles back at the resort while still wearing princess shoes or Buzz Lightyear pajamas.

And YOU will remember it all. 🥹

The wide eyes.
The pointing.
The gasps.
The dancing in front of the castle.
The way they believe every single bit of it is real.

There is nothing—nothing—like experiencing Disney through toddler eyes. And Disney makes the little-kid years sooo much easier than people expect:

✨ Baby Care Centers for diaper changes, feeding, nursing, or a cool quiet break
✨ Complimentary cribs / Pack ’n Plays available at the resorts by request
✨ Disney transportation makes getting around easy
✨ Airport shuttle so you can skip the car seat
✨ Rider Switch for attractions so grown-ups can still ride the big stuff
✨ Midday resort breaks + pool naps = everyone happier 😅

Here’s my favorite strategy:

Take them while they’re under 3… soak up every second… then before you head home, book Disney’s Bounceback Offer from your resort room for your next trip at a discount 👏

Thinking about adding the Disney Dining Plan? Before you do… there’s something you NEED to know 👀
The Dining Plan can be AMAZING…but it’s not always as straightforward as Disney makes it sound.

I actually love the dining plan for a lot of families.
✨ It helps you prepay for meals before your trip✨ It makes budgeting feel less stressful once you’re there✨ It makes it sooo much easier to say “yes” to snacks, meals, or character dining in the moment without mentally doing math every 5 minutes 😅

But here’s the part people don’t always realize:
⚠️ Not every restaurant accepts the Disney Dining Plan⚠️ And some restaurants cost 2 credits instead of 1

Which means if you show up assuming everything is covered you could end up with a pretty big bill you weren’t expecting.

A few examples:
Some specialty/signature restaurants do not accept the dining plan at all.

Others are considered premium dining experiences and require 2 table-service credits per person.
That can really throw off your meal plan if you weren’t expecting it.
So how do you check before you book?

Here’s the easiest way 👇
Open the My Disney Experience appSearch the restaurant you’re interested inTap into the restaurant pageThen click Dining Plan Info
Disney will tell you:✔️ whether the dining plan is accepted there✔️ and how many credits it requires
Pro tip: if it accepts the plan, scroll all the way down because that’s where you’ll usually see whether it’s 1 credit or 2.
This is exactly why planning ahead matters SO much.

Because yes, I still think the Disney Dining Plan can absolutely be worth it.
Especially in 2026 with the free kids’ dining offer 👏
And some of those 2-credit restaurants? People LOVE them for a reason… and I recommend many of them all the time.
But wouldn’t you rather know before you arrive so you can plan the rest of your meals around it instead of being surprised at the table? 😅

That’s also why working with a Disney planner can save you from expensive little mistakes like this 🙋‍♀️

I know this might make some Disney people mad but…I need to say it 🤫

CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular at Universal Orlando Resort genuinely rivaled every nighttime show I’ve seen at Disney. And that is NOT something I say lightly 😂

The crazy part? We almost skipped it because we assumed it would just be a “nice little ending to the night.”
NOPE.
This show absolutely blew us away.

It’s part laser show, part insanely choreographed drone show, part emotional nostalgia trip…all projected onto giant screens made entirely of water jets and somehow it WORKS in the coolest way possible ✨
The entire thing celebrates movies and moments we’ve all loved through the years and we seriously laughed, cried, and sat there with our mouths hanging open the whole time 😭😂

And here’s the important thing people NEED to know:
This show is NOT happening every single night.
So if you’re visiting Universal Orlando Resort for multiple days, check the app FIRST THING every morning. If you see CineSational scheduled for that night, prioritize it immediately because there’s a very real chance it won’t happen again during your trip.
That happened to us and honestly? I was SO sad because I would’ve watched it again in a heartbeat.

✨ Pro Tip:
For the best view, grab a spot directly across from Cafe La Bamba in the Central Park terraces area near the steps facing the water. Try to get there about 30 minutes early for the best viewing spot and stay until the VERY end because the finale is absolutely worth it 👏
