Sustainability is woven into every stage of our expedition development. Right now, our founder Jorge is in the Pantanal—since New Paths Expeditions was founded—crafting new and meaningful alternatives.

We began by meeting future partners at Molino Cultural de Corumbá, an inspiring organization bringing fine arts to local youth. We then visited the Pantanal Fire Monitoring Center, now detecting wildfires within just 15 minutes—a major leap from the multi-day delays of the past. We’ve formalized a collaboration and will support their mission directly. A powerful start, driven by real action and shared values.

Our Founder, Jorge Salas, made it through tornados to Mobile, Alabama, where he is representing NPE at the Educational Travel Consortium Conference. He reports great weather, a beautiful downtown and a great hotel for the conference, but sadly he is yet to find a nearby Waffle House, so his first dinner was soft shell crab sandwich. What a hard life! 🤣 🦀 🧇
