The Names Of Woodstock Past Walking Tour takes place on the evening of Thursday, May 28th. Walking tour tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at https://wdstkbrandstore.square.site or in person at the Woodstock Visitors Center. The tour will be offered at 6pm, 630pm, & 730pm

This engaging walking tour will explore the historical origins of the names of various roads, parks and downtown landmarks. Learn more about the interesting history of Woodstock by learning The Names of Woodstock Past.

The tours run every half hour beginning at 6pm with the final tour departing from the Woodstock Visitors Center at 7:30pm. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes, and participants are encouraged to wear good walking shoes.

The walking tour series as a whole takes place on the last Thursday of each month, April through October, and includes the following topics and dates for 2026:

Historic Families of Woodstock - April 30 & September 24
The Names of Woodstock Past - May 28
Weird Woodstock - June 25 & October 29
How Downtown Woodstock Revitalized - July 30
Creative Woodstock - August 27

The tours run every half hour beginning at 6pm with the final tour departing from the Woodstock Visitors Center at 7:30pm. Book Donation Drive at the Woodstock Visitors Center this week!

In celebration of Georgia’s 250th anniversary, Woodstock is inviting the community to “pass the story on” by donating gently used books to support local Little Free Libraries. This initiative helps keep Woodstock’s Little Free Libraries stocked and encourages reading. Drop off books to the Woodstock Visitors Center Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 8588 Main Street in Downtown Woodstock
