When St. John makes a plan… and then changes the plan!

Quelbe Resurrection was supposed to take the stage at the Windmill Bar last night, but when an issue came up, this BIG, talented crew of local musicians simply packed up and moved the party to Mooie’s in Cruz Bay!

And what a show it was!

So many musicians, so many instruments, and SO much island energy. That’s one of the things we love about St. John… when the unexpected happens, the music doesn’t stop. It just finds another place to play!

Quelbe Resurrection is a fantastic local band and a whole lot of fun to watch. If you get the chance to catch them, DO IT! 🎶❤️

Last night, the island was alive with music:

🎤 Sol Ruiz at Windmill Bar
🎸 Michael Anthony at The Beach Bar
🥁 Ronald Lee Jr. on Steel Pan and Band at a pop-up jazz show at Mooie’s

From sunset views and island classics to an unexpected night of jazz, you never quite know what you’re going to find when you follow the music on St. John. 💙

These are just a few of the sounds that made last night special.

Paradise now costs an extra 66¢. 🌴☀️

The People Ferry between Red Hook and Cruz Bay has increased fares and baggage fees by 66¢. In the grand scheme of turquoise water, white sand, and sunsets over the Caribbean… we suppose we can dig a little deeper into our beach bags. 😉

Still the same beautiful ride across the Pillsbury Sound. The sunsets are still free, so we think we’ll survive this one.

The streets of St. John came alive today with the sights, sounds, and spirit of Carnival!

From the infectious rhythms of the steel pan bands to the incredible dance troupes, towering Moko Jumbies, and colorful costumes, today's parade was a beautiful celebration of Virgin Islands culture and community.

If you missed it, don't worry, the Carnival fun isn't over yet! There's still plenty of music, food, festivities, and island excitement of the fireworks tonight.

The Children’s Village, hosted by Freshwater Church, is filled with fun, smiles, and friendly competition as young Carnival-goers test their skills, win prizes, and make memories with family and friends.

A big thank you to Freshwater Church and all of the incredible volunteers who make this special tradition possible year after year. Your love for our community shines through every game and every happy face. ❤️
