The moment your child looks up from a map of the Cu Chi tunnel network and asks, “Wait — real people lived under here?”, that’s when this journey becomes something they’ll carry for life.

We believe children deserve real experiences, not watered-down ones.

With Les Rives, your family boards a luxury speedboat in the early morning. You glide upriver as Saigon’s skyline fades into open water and quiet green banks. Your kids wear their life jackets like little explorers. Your guide brings history to life in a way they actually understand.

There are no crowds to navigate. No buses to wait for. No hidden costs to stress about.

Just your family, the river, and a side of Vietnam most travelers never truly see.

A great tour lives and dies by its guide.

Ours know these rivers, these forests, and these tunnels the way only someone who grew up in there can. They will tell you stories that no history book carries. They will slow down when something matters, and they will make you laugh when something is absurd.

They hold the map. They hold the moment.

From the first smile at Bach Dang Pier to the last goodbye on the river, this is the Les Rives difference, not just a journey through Vietnam's past, but a connection to the people who lived it.

Small groups. Expert guides. Unforgettable stories.

✨ Good maintenance isn't glamorous, but it matters more than almost anything else.

We've just received our Certificate of Maintenance from Yamaha Marine Service 🎉, and honestly, this one means a lot to us.

Behind every smooth, comfortable cruise with Les Rives is a team that obsesses over the details, regular engine check-ups, scheduled servicing, and now, official recognition from Yamaha for following their Standard Periodic Maintenance Package across our entire fleet.

For our guests, this means one simple thing: when you're out on the water with us, you're in safe hands.

Thank you Yamaha Marine Service & Minh Long Marine Equipment for this wonderful recognition! 🙏

Behind every beautiful journey with Les Rives, there are incredible women.

Women who guide with passion, who welcome guests with warm smiles, who share stories of Vietnam with pride, and who bring care and dedication to every moment on the river.

We see it in the laughter of our guests discovering something new, in the quiet strength of our crew preparing each journey, and in the friendships that form between women from different cultures who meet here and share the same spirit of curiosity and adventure.

Travel has a special way of connecting people and we are inspired by the kindness, resilience, and joy that women bring to these experiences.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women of Les Rives and the wonderful women travelers who have been part of our story. Thank you for the warmth, the courage, and the inspiration you bring to every journey.

Happy International Women’s Day from all of us at Les Rives 🩷

A Cu Chi Tour… and an Unexpected Passenger 🐶

This morning’s journey to Cu Chi came with a little surprise.

As our Les Rives speedboat was gliding along the Saigon River, our crew suddenly spotted something unusual in the water, a small dog paddling with all its might. Not exactly the type of “swimmer” we usually expect to see on our route.

Without a second thought, our team carefully approached and lifted the exhausted little adventurer safely on board. Thankfully, we were able to locate the owner shortly after. The reunion on the riverbank was filled with relief, gratitude… and probably a promise from the dog not to try river swimming again anytime soon.

We are incredibly proud of our crew for their swift action, teamwork, and compassion. On the Saigon River, every journey is different, but today’s trip reminded us that sometimes, the most meaningful moments are the ones you never plan for.

Just another day at Les Rives… where even the river keeps things interesting. ✨

In southern Vietnam, especially in the Mekong Delta, farming is deeply connected to water.
Rau nhút, known in English as water mimosa, grows quietly on ponds and canals, floating with the natural flow of the river.

What makes this story even more special is that this very water mimosa field belongs to a local family that our guests have the chance to visit during our Mekong Delta tour by speedboat. It’s not a demonstration farm or a tourist setup, it’s a real place, part of everyday life.

Here, farmers carefully tend the plants and harvest them by hand, choosing only the freshest stems. Guests can witness this process up close, learn how water mimosa is grown, and gain a deeper appreciation for the patience and knowledge passed down through generations.

This is what we love sharing on our journeys, an authentic moments, real families, and stories rooted in the land and the water. These photos capture a small but meaningful part of the Mekong Delta, where life moves gently with the river, and traditions are still very much alive.

The story of Ho Chi Minh City begins long before its streets, buildings, or boulevards. It begins with the Saigon River.

For centuries, the Saigon River was the city’s first and most important route. Flowing over 250 kilometers from Cambodia into southern Vietnam, it shaped where people settled, how communities connected, and how Saigon grew from a riverside trading post into one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic cities.

Merchants once followed this river inland, farmers depended on its tides, and generations built their lives along its banks. It was this access to water that helped transform Gia Dinh into Saigon, earning the city its reputation as the “Pearl of the Far East.”

More than a commercial artery, the river became a cultural backbone. Markets, pagodas, shipyards, and neighborhoods developed organically along the water’s edge. Even today, over 80 kilometers of the Saigon River flow through the city, quietly shaping daily life while reflecting its ever-changing skyline.

✨To understand Saigon, you don’t start on land. You follow the river.

A beautiful way to welcome the first days of 2026 ✨

Thanks to the unique advantage of traveling by river, Les Rives guests are consistently among the very first visitors to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels each morning, arriving swiftly by speedboat, well ahead of the crowds.

The first day of 2026 was no exception. Our guests were warmly received at the Cu Chi Tunnels with flowers, traditional khan ran scarves, and conical hats, a thoughtful gestures from the site’s management to celebrate the New Year.

As 2026 unfolds, we look forward to welcoming our guests to many more moments like this, where luxury is felt not in extravagance, but in access, authenticity, and care.

Happy New Year from all of us at Les Rives.

On the rivers of southern Vietnam, every boat has a role, and every role has a story.

This collection of photos captured by Les Rives reflects the diversity of life on the water: small wooden boats gliding through quiet canals, traditional wooden vessels used for daily transport, steel container barges, local ferry boats connecting communities from bank to bank, and round bamboo basket boats moving silently through narrow waterways.

The Mekong Delta and the Saigon River form one of Southeast Asia’s most intricate water networks. Long before roads existed, these waterways became the region’s natural highways, carrying people, produce, and trade. Even today, logistics in the south still rely heavily on water, especially where canals run directly to riverside homes.

One of the greatest advantages of traveling by boat is the chance to see this world up close. At water level, working boats pass within arm’s reach, revealing details, rhythms, and daily life often missed from land.

Every hull tells a story, shaped by tides, currents, distance, and purpose. Together, they reflect the living rhythm of southern Vietnam, best experienced from the water with Les Rives.
