Mekong Delta is always attractive to explore and discover. We have constantly searched for untouched parts of the region such as a little farming village or craft community enclosed by the mighty river and its tributaries. The only way to see those places is by local ferries and your bicycles, and GPS route maps.

We cycled to explore the teak forest and endless pomelo farms covering a huge upper basin of D**g Nai River. The midland terrains feature the volcanic lava rock and soil.

We hopped on our bikes and headed Long Huu D**g village, 50km southeast of Saigon. The 100km long ride via backroads, ferry crossing, and tiny concrete paths in the rice paddies took us to some beautiful riverside hamlets, religious and old-aged monuments, including the French fortress, Cao Dai Temple, and the 100-year old house featuring the Royal architectural style.

Our last weekend cycling trip to Phuoc Hai fishing village, 100km east of Saigon. We rode through rubber tree plantations and on different roads which are heavy traffic free, and found out there were only us en routes almost the time!

We cycled around Saigon Metropolis and discovered its truely rustic communes enclosed by canals and watercoconut palm trees. What a great way to explore this untouched part of this bustling and hustling city within a day!
