In partnership with Skydive Karoo, tandem skydives will be taking place throughout the Gariep Fly-In weekend, giving you the rare opportunity to experience the incredible Gariep landscape from the air, and jump above South Africa’s largest inland watermass.

Whether skydiving has always been on your bucket list or you’re looking for something unforgettable to add to your Fly-In weekend, this is your chance.

20 DAYS TO GO! ✈️🏆

The countdown is officially on – just 20 days until the Gariep Fly-In 2026!

And as we get closer to our inaugural Fly-In, we're excited to announce that all flying competitions taking place over the weekend will be governed by the South African Power Flying Association (SAPFA).

From precision flying to friendly competition, SAPFA's involvement will bring an exciting competitive element to the skies over Gariep and ensure that our flying competitions are conducted within the appropriate sporting framework.

With aircraft making their way to Big Water Airport from around the country, a weekend of aviation, activities and entertainment awaits – and we can't wait to welcome everyone to Gariep Dam.
