Take Table Mountain into spring with a lighter layer and a little more time at the top. 🚠

September means longer operating hours, warmer days and a fresh reason to experience the mountain again, especially if it’s been sitting on your Cape Town list for too long.

Before you go, check the weather and Cableway status, because the mountain still gets the final say. A light layer is always a good idea, even when the city feels warm below.

Once you reach the summit, don’t rush straight back down. Walk the paths, stop at the viewpoints, grab a coffee and give yourself time to see Cape Town from above properly.

For Tourism Month, South Africans can also make use of the Local is Lekker special, available online from 1 to 30 September 2026. Tickets must be purchased before the day of your visit, and SA ID is required.

Spring operating hours are first car up at 08h30, last car up at 18h00 and last car down at 19h00, weather permitting.

Take your spring plans closer to the water at the V&A Waterfront. 🌊

As Cape Town moves into warmer days, the Waterfront becomes one of the easiest places to enjoy fresh air, harbour views and time outside without needing to plan too much.

Book a harbour cruise, take a boat ride, walk along the water, stop for something to eat and let the mountain, ocean and city do the rest.

For International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, it’s a lovely reminder to enjoy the outdoor spaces that make Cape Town feel so alive, while also caring for the environment that gives us these views.

The V&A Waterfront has had a full end-of-August energy, with fashion, food, w**e and harbour views all sharing the same neighbourhood 🌊.

The Vintage with Love Big Sale brought pre-loved fashion, accessories and designer pieces to the Cape Town Cruise Terminal from 27 to 30 August, supporting literacy and education charities across South Africa.

The Time Out Market Winter W**e Series also added another reason to linger, with South African w**es, chef-led pairings and the easy indoor energy that makes the market such a good winter stop.

That’s the V&A Waterfront at its best. One visit can move from browsing to food, from harbour views to events, from a quick plan into something that feels fuller than expected.
