This World Female Ranger Week, we celebrate the extraordinary women transforming conservation across Africa.🌍
From Zimbabwe's Akashinga Rangers - "the brave ones" battling poaching whilst uplifting communities, to South Africa's Black Mamba Anti-Poaching Unit achieving a remarkable 63% reduction in poaching since 2013. In Botswana, Chobe Game Lodge pioneered Africa's first all-women wilderness guiding team, whilst Tanzania's Dunia Camp operates entirely with female staff from chefs to guides.
These incredible women aren't just protecting elephants, rhinos, and countless species - they're redefining conservation, promoting gender equality, and creating economic independence for their families and communities. Their bravery and leadership prove that wildlife protection thrives when everyone has a voice.
Today we honour these remarkable women who dedicate their lives to protecting Africa's wildlife and wild spaces. Their impact extends far beyond conservation, inspiring the next generation of female conservationists across the continent. ✨
