Livingstone’s Camp offers a truly wild escape in Namibia’s Zambezi Region. Set beside the Linyanti Wetlands and on the edge of Nkasa Rupara National Park, it is a place of waterways, floodplains, birdlife and free-roaming wildlife.

Often described as Namibia’s “Mini Okavango”, this is not a staged safari experience. It is remote, seasonal, and beautifully untamed, a place to slow down and experience the rhythm of the wetlands.

Four days. Seventy kilometres. One remarkable Damaraland journey.

The recent Sorris Sorris Hiking Safari followed a wild route from Madisa Camp towards the Brandberg area and the Ugab River, with supported bush camps waiting at the end of each day’s walk.

Well done to this wonderful group for taking on the terrain, the distance and the unforgettable open spaces of Sorris Sorris Conservancy.

When you walk the landscape at Wüstenquell, you start noticing the small things: tracks in the sand, hardy desert plants, different rock textures, and the animals that blend so naturally into their surroundings.

This little chameleon was spotted along the way, a reminder to slow down, look closely, and see what the desert is quietly showing you.

Final stretch of the Sorris Sorris Hiking Safari! 👣

Our hikers are nearing the end of a rewarding 70 km, four-day journey through rugged Damaraland, in Namibia. The route follows the wild landscapes from Madisa Camp towards the Brandberg area and the Ugab River, with wide-open plains, rocky ground, dry riverbeds, and ever-changing desert scenery along the way.

These photos capture a few moments from the trail, the bush camps, and the incredible landscapes experienced on foot. Well done to the group; the finish is in sight!
