A complete surprise to find Rhinos in this part of the Kruger. This was for sure the highlight of the safari. And I told the guests when we started, there is virtually no chance to see Rhinos in the area where we will go today...

Sometimes, it unfortunately happens that guests forget that you asked them not to be too loud. This photo was sadly taken split seconds before this kudu dashed off. You can see she looks straight at the guest who made the loud sounds... Sorry, Mrs. Kudu and co. I will try harder next time to keep my guests intact...

Our resident female White-bellied Sunbird is hard at work building their nest. She is super quick and only sits for split seconds to scan for danger before she enters the nest.

Some big elephants and a really massive tree. Not just any tree, but the Queen of Trees, a Sycamore Fig! Have a look at one of the very best nature documentaries ever here: https://youtu.be/xy86ak2fQJM?si=-J4npiU73EYUz5HJ - Put it on the highest resolution possible and enjoy! To think, these trees are pollinated by one little fig wasp. And even though figs are technically flowers, they are consumed as fruit. If we lose these wasps, we lose these trees, and then we lose all our fruit-eating creatures, as this is the only 'fruit' in winter!
