At Orpen Gate, the adventure starts instantly. 🐘🦒
Elephants by the roadside, impalas in the golden grass, and if you’re lucky, a lion resting in the shade. 🦁

From this beautiful viewpoint at Elephant Rock Eco Estate, the world seems to stand still. Normally, the view stretches across a rich area of avifauna, where everything comes together and remains accessible. Not now.

The rain has done exactly what we always ask for and listened just a little too well.
What was once taken for granted has suddenly become unreachable. Roads have disappeared, paths have turned into rivers, reminding us who truly holds the reins.

Beautiful, impressive, and at the same time unsettling.
The bush gives, and the bush takes. 🌧️🌿
