The magic of the Okavango Delta arrives not with rain, but with the waters that slowly make their way down from the Angolan highlands into the wetlands, shaping your safari experience in Botswana.

Right now, the Delta is in a state of flux. Waters which receded in the summer allowed islands to re-emerge and grasses to return with an explosion of birdlife and baby animals. Now as the inflow returns to the Delta, dry plains are transformed into a maze of channels and lagoons. Aquatic species thrive, while boating and mokoro excursions are a highlight. By mid-June, water levels should have reached their peak, drawing game from drier areas and creating extraordinary safari conditions, particularly for sightings of predators.
