Days like World Oceans Day are some of our favourites because they give us the opportunity to shine a light on the organisations turning good intentions into real impact.

Today we highlight TUI Turtle Aid and their local partner Project Biodiversity in Cape Verde, West Africa.

Since 2017, they have helped protect more than 1.2 million endangered turtle hatchlings, proving that tourism can be a powerful force for conservation when communities, travellers and industry work together.

Today, we're celebrating the people and projects helping to protect our oceans, coastlines and the wildlife that depends on them.

What if yesterday's plastic waste could become tomorrow's building material?

This World Environment Day, we're celebrating organisations like Ele Collection Zimbabwe , which is transforming plastic waste into construction-grade aggregate while creating jobs and reducing pressure on natural resources.

Real impact. Real innovation. Real change.

That's the kind of sustainability story we love to see.

The old playbook - build it, market it, wait for them to come - is dead.

Cape Town isn’t slowing down in winter; it’s just getting started.
The “Secret Season” campaign reframes the off-season as a time for deeper, more meaningful travel, fewer crowds, more connection, and richer experiences.

This report isn't for everyone, it's for those; it’s for those willing to face what’s actually changing.

The future depends on whether:

▪️ Tourism boards stop chasing volume and start building verifiable value
▪️ Operators accept that inclusion is a $600 billion market test, not a nice-to-have
▪️ Governments understand that policy chaos levies a "Trust Tax" on every business

The bottom line is that Africa has 81 million reasons to be optimistic and a dozen structural reasons to stay sharp. The dream is intact, but the market no longer buys dreams on credit.
