Global Citizen NOW Johannesburg delivered milestone commitments for Africa’s clean energy future, with enough projects announced to power more than 17.5 million homes and unlock 26.8 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030. As presenting partners, Harith General Partners played a central role, confirming plans to scale their investment from 1.5 to 5 gigawatts, which has the potential to power over 850,000 homes. Combined with Team Europe’s €15.5 billion commitment, this summit marked one of the most significant collective pushes toward expanding clean, reliable energy across the continent.
