TRENDING NOW! MAKE SURE YOU SEE RYAN COOGLER’S GORY GOTHIC FILM IN IMAX

Everyone is talking about Sinners, the bold new genre-defying epic from director Ryan Coogler that’s showing at Ster Kinekor IMAX cinemas nationwide. The film opened strong in America passing its box office milestone within a week.

Set in 1930s Mississippi, the film weaves horror and history into a story of twin brothers fighting supernatural forces, racial reckoning, and a vampire-led band set in the Jim Crow-era South.
For Coogler, who is known for Black Panther and Creed, this is his most personal work yet — a story shaped by family legacy and cultural roots.

BOOK NOW! SWINGIN' LAS VEGAS BRINGS THE GLITZ TO MONTECASINO FOR 2 WEEKENDS ONLY

After a hugely strong audience response last year, trumpeter Adam Howard and the 18-piece Johannesburg Big Band will be putting on a brand new showing of Swingin’ Las Vegas at Montecasino. The 2025 season will run over two weekends from 16 to 25 May.

KAMERS/MAKERS IS COMING TO SANDTON THIS MONTH-END

Few would argue that Brutal Fruit Spritzer’s recent media launch of The Pink Table is easily one of the hottest style parties this summer. Some of the country’s most popular artists and content creators made their way down to the Cape Winelands for a showstopping event for a dose of fashion and midday bubbles.

The ladies served up an explosive expression of colour set to their own rules. Pink took centre stage, from radiantly embellished dresses to floral-inspired minis in bright fuchsia. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE PINK TABLE

Been wondering what’s the buzz with Brutal Fruit Sprizer’s new trending Pink Table? The concept is a reimagined version of their insanely popular Saturday Spritzer Brunch parties that women across the country love so much.

The media launch held earlier this month in Cape Town gave us a sneak peek of what’s to come. There will now be a centrepiece at each event, which is an angular, long table in millennial pink where both familiar and unfamiliar besties can gather and connect over elevated dining, spritzer drinks, and epic live performances.

If you go to Stevenson Gallery in Parktown-North right now, you’ll first be met with a colourful installation which spins confidently around the stoep area. The work forms part of Mauritian artist Salim Currimjee’s new art exhibition running at the gallery until 9 May. A second leg of the exhibition is taking place in Port Louis, Mauritius, where the artist lives and works.

Titled “Tula”, Currimjee responds in his own way to themes of colour, texture, and the history of traditional Mughal and Indian painting. Most of the finished works on show intricate angular and curved forms in mediums such as plexiglass that offer a multi-dimensional view and references Currimjee’s architectural background.
