What a fantastic two days at the Eskom Security Professionals Conference and Technology Expo at the Eskom Academy of Learning in Midrand!

GoThermal and GoUAV had the opportunity to demonstrate a wide range of technologies designed to protect substations, power stations, underground copper cables and other critical electrical infrastructure.

GoThermal was proud to be part of the annual Gas Infrastructure Summit again this year.

Philip Smerkovitz presented on practical technologies used for gas leak detection, inspection, emergency response and infrastructure protection.

The presentation covered thermal Optical Gas Imaging cameras, FLIR acoustic leak detection, FLIR live leak detection demonstration, DJI enterprise dock drone response to alarm events, and vibration sensing for pipeline and infrastructure protection.

The main message was simple:

Detect. Confirm. Respond. Protect.

Gas safety is not only about finding a leak. It is also about detecting problems early, confirming what is happening safely, and helping operators respond before people or infrastructure are placed at risk.
