For the past 3 years, the PLASTIC ODYSSEY vessel has been traveling the world to develop on‑land solutions for recycling plastic waste and raise awareness among local communities about alternatives to plastic.⁠
After 3 years of expedition and 45 stopovers, the results are remarkable:
• 12 micro‑recycling factories installed
• Over 200 concrete waste management and plastic alternative solutions documented worldwide
• More than 500 entrepreneurs supported globally
• 12,000 children educated on board the vessel
For the years to come, UNESCO and Plastic Odyssey have joined forces to clean up 51 priority marine sites listed as World Heritage. As a patron of the PLASTIC ODYSSEY FOUNDATION, THALGO supports their actions towards plastic‑free oceans.
