The Journey at a Glance:
Day 1: The Great Westward Trek – Depart OR Tambo. We leave the Highveld behind and head into the vast, open heart of the Karoo.
Day 2: Into the Arid Zone – We reach the edge of the floral kingdom. The air changes, the sky expands, and the first "scout" flowers appear.
Day 3: The Orange Sea (Skilpad) – Visit Namaqua National Park. Stand in fields of orange daisies so thick you can’t see the ground!
Day 4: The Secret Valleys – We head to Garies and Kamieskroon, visiting private farms known only to our local guides.
Day 5: The Bulb Capital (Nieuwoudtville) – Discover the world’s highest concentration of bulbs and the thundering Nieuwoudtville Waterfall.
Day 6: Giants & Geology – Sunset at the Quiver Tree Forest. Prehistoric trees meeting a carpet of flowers—a photographer's dream.
Day 7: Succulent Secrets – Explore the "living stones" and rare succulents of the Knersvlakte before we begin our turn homeward.
Day 8: Reflections & Return – A scenic drive back to OR Tambo with full hearts and a camera full of memories.
