From our stay at in October last year…
There is a synergy between brand DNA and destination - it is energetic, design-forward and playful, which makes it refreshing in comparison to the typical modern hotel’s look and feel. A standout design feature for us was the incorporation of hand-drawn wall murals in the open spaces, which also serve as an ode to place. These public spaces are also super inviting and well-curated to suit the needs of all sorts of different travellers coming and going, as is the rest of the hotel.
The considered mix of surrounding independent retailers and the natural flow between them reinforce the sense of an intentional urban ecosystem rather than a standalone hotel offering.
A key local touch is the collaboration with , which is one of renowned South African chef ’s latest openings. This is where breakfast is served, and it certainly was a highlight during our stay here.
The rooms feel spacious and the details are well thought through, with the passageways being a burst of colour and designed in such a way that you often catch a glimpse of Table Mountain or Lion’s Head on your way in and out.
This hotel is built to make you see and experience the best of Cape Town whilst feeling like a local, and it is quickly becoming a crowd favourite.
