A 6 hour drive covering the south east section of Kruger. This drive goes through the game rich plains around Croc Bridge and Lower Sabie where all of the Big 5 and cheetah can be seen. Full day Drive :

This is a 10 hour drive covering more of the south eastern section and can spend a bit more time going further into the Park. Numerous plains game , the Big 5 and cheetah can be seen on this drive. There is a breakfast break of about an hour and also a lunch break. Lunch is for your own account.

Half day and all 3 cats showing their faces although the spotted cats outdid the lions today - 2 of the cheetah brothers walking down the S28 marking territory and then the 2 juvenile leopards near L Sabie. Double lion sightings but a lioness walking through a huge impala herd in the dark and causing them to wake up rather suddenly then a far visual of another lion close to Croc Bridge. Few birds command the same presence as Verreaux’s Eagle-Owls. Powerful, intelligent and incredibly elusive, these giants of the night are not often seen displaying behaviour like this in the open. Capturing a brief mating interaction between the pair was special enough on its own, even if the lighting conditions were far from ideal.

With harsh backlighting and very little detail to work with straight out of camera, this image took a fair amount of work in post-processing to bring the scene back to life while still keeping it natural. A rewarding moment with one of Africa’s most iconic nocturnal predators. 🦉
