Early last year, 1,079 critically endangered Knysna seahorses stranded on Lookout Beach due to the estuary flooding, with 737 successfully released back into their habitat due to a huge community effort mobilising hundreds of people to collect these delicate and endangered animals. If you'd like to learn more about what it's like to be a part of the Plett community's research and conservatione efforts, please join us at the Plett Ocean Festival's Marine Science Symposium this July. www.plettoceanfestival.co.za
