Imagine 🤔 a day 🗓️ dedicated to understanding💡, including 🤗, and celebrating 🥳 unique individuals 👫. That day is International 🌍 Albinism 🤍 Awareness 📣Day, which is celebrated 🥳 every year 🗓️ on June 1️⃣3️⃣.

It’s a special time to learn 📖 about albinism 🤍, a genetic 🧬 condition that affects people 👫 worldwide 🌍, regardless of gender ♂️♀️ or ethnicity🔴🟡🔵. This day illuminates 💡the challenges 💪 faced by those with albinism 🤍 and promotes 👍 their rights ✅ and well-being 🤗.

Why do we celebrate 🥳 this day 🗓️? People 👫 with albinism 🤍 often deal with visual 👀 impairments and are at a higher ⬆️ risk of skin cancer🧫. This is especially true in regions 🗺️ where access ♿ to preventative care 👨‍⚕️is limited 🚫. Discrimination 🫵 and social exclusion 🚫are real issues, too 😟.

Howard's View 🏞️ will be toasting World🌍 Gin 🍸 Day. Distilled 🥼from Juniper 🫐 berries, gin 🍸 is one of the sweetest 😍, most subtly flavored liquors. Have a martini 🍸, gin and tonic, negroni, or any other gin cocktail🍹

Gin has had a noble history as a medicine💊 , or rather, as a way to make medicine 💊 more palatable 😁. Quinine is the distillation of the ground bark 🌳of the cinchona tree🌳, which produced a tonic ⚕️ that was capable of treating malaria🧫. Unfortunately, the quinine was incredibly bitter 😝, and gin was used to cut it 😁. The flavor caught on👍, and to this day, the tonic in the Gin 🍸 and Tonic contains the slightest bit 💧 of quinine to capture the flavor of the original 😁.

The history of World 🌍 Gin 🍸 Day itself began in 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣9️⃣, following the efforts of an avid gin 🍸connoisseur🧑‍🎓, Neil Houston. He was already a massive fan ❤️of gin🍸, but wanted to find a way to bring the drink 🍹to more people 👫 so that they could enjoy it 😁. He and the “Gin Monkey🐵” Emma Stokes, teamed up to launch the first World 🌍 Gin 🍸 Day in Birmingham 🇬🇧 as a way to popularize 👍 a gin 🍸 bar.

Corgis 🐶 are popular ✅ for all sorts of reasons. They are quiet 🤫, reserved dogs 🐶 – ideal for urban 🌇 areas.

International 🌍 Corgi 🐶 Day is a celebration 🎉 of how these beautiful ❤️ creatures 🐾 enhance our lives 😁 and make them more enjoyable 😀. It is a chance for owners 🐕‍🦺 all over the world 🌍 to give something back to their furry, four-legged friends 🐶. After all, who doesn’t want to show their pet corgi 🐶 that they care🤗

Unfortunately 😞, all is not well in the world 🌍 of corgis🐶. While the majority have loving❤️, caring 🤗 owners who will do whatever it takes to look after them, some dogs 🐕 aren’t so lucky 😞. International 🌍 Corgi 🐶 Day, therefore, is about more than just appreciation 👏. It is also concerned with responsible rehoming 🏠, corgi care 🐶, and adoption📜 issues.

International 🌍 Corgi 🐶 Day is the brainchild 🤔 of the Omaha Corgi Crew. The organization got its start back in 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣1️⃣ when a group of friends 💑 decided to get together and organize an event 🎉 in honor of their favorite breed of dog 🐕. Corgis 🐶 are, in their words, “vertically-challenged dogs 🐕 with big hearts,❤️” but they’re also in need of help⛑️.
The organization is not a breeder 🐕🐕 or a rescue ⛑️organization, but more of an event 🗓️ organization. It commits 📜 to supporting the breed 🐶 and bringing fans 🤗 together. A few years ago, the founders realized that corgis 🐶 faced unique issues surrounding the purchase💰, rehoming 🏠, and adoption📜. They needed a grassroots organization that would begin the difficult work of highlighting ✅ the problems that they face and getting more people 👫interested in the breed🐶. So let's stand up for the short legged Corgi 🐶, a favourite ❤️ of the late Queen 👑Elizabeth 2️⃣

This day celebrates Africa's 🌍 unity 🤝, cultural diversity 🟣🔴🟠, and the progress ✅ made toward political ⚖️ and economic 💳 integration 🔃.
